{"id":1438,"date":"2024-07-18T10:04:00","date_gmt":"2024-07-18T10:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/apustrust.com\/web-qa\/?p=1438"},"modified":"2026-09-03T15:42:21","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T15:42:21","slug":"the-ai-act-regulation-2024-1689-of-the-european-parliament-and-of-the-council-has-finally-been-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apustrust.com\/web-qa\/en\/blog\/2024\/07\/18\/the-ai-act-regulation-2024-1689-of-the-european-parliament-and-of-the-council-has-finally-been-published\/","title":{"rendered":"The AI Act (Regulation 2024\/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council) has finally been published"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;line-height: 1.5\">The IA Act, a European regulation aimed at improving the internal market by establishing a uniform legal framework, in particular for the development, placing on the market, putting into service and use of artificial intelligence systems in the European Union, was published on 13 June.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;line-height: 1.5\">This Regulation will enter into force on 3 July 2024, i.e. on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States from 2 August 2026; however:<\/p>\n\nChapters I and II shall apply from 2 February 2025;\nChapter III, Section IV, Chapter V, Chapter VII, Chapter XII and Article 78 shall apply from 2 August 2025, with the exception of Article 101;\nArticle 6(1) and the corresponding obligations laid down in this Regulation shall apply from 2 August 2027;\n\n\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;line-height: 1.5\">Would you like to find out more about the AI Act and how you can ensure your organisation complies with the European regulation on the development, placing on the market, putting into service and use of artificial intelligence systems?
